Training and Documentation Specialist

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and administers training programs for off-the-shelf and configured software and solutions.

  • Creates all training documentation such as training manuals, help guides, agendas, learning exercises, and computer based training.

  • Determines what content is critical to be communicated to employees, and trains internal employees on policy, procedure, and application use.

  • Ensures information is current.

  • Facilitates classroom training and activities and adjusts according to audience needs.

  • Personalizes delivery of information for greatest impact while still conveying the intended information.

  • Partners with internal as well as external clients to design, develop, deliver, and measure customized solutions.

  • Works with management team to implement career development and management development processes and program.

  • Maintains records of training activities and employee progress. Monitors and reports effectiveness of programs.

  • Masters all products to provide training deliverables internally and to clients.

  • Writes documentation that conforms to best practices for writing, presentation, and editing standards.

  • Retrieves, organizes, analyzes and synthesizes complex subject matter and transforms it into easy-to-understand information for specific audiences (Users, Administrators, Copywriters).

  • Protects intellectual property during development and dissemination of information.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.

2-5 years of experience with classroom delivery and training material preparation or equivalent combination of education and prior experience as a Trainer.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Proficiency with web applications (Breeze).

Graphic design experience and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, other graphics programs.

Previous job experience in a high-tech industry highly desirable.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Analytical ability.

Project management skills.
Works well under time constraints.
Ability to travel (40%)
