Project Manager (PM)

The role requires both deep project management experience in a consulting organization, and broad technology knowledge with the ability to facilitate the architecture of solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end technology projects is also a must. PM’s are key enablers for other consultants and partner staff. They manage the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects. PM’s have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • The PM applies solid project management and leadership skills and experience in delivering projects on-time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. To be credible he or she must have current and deep experience with managing technology projects through all phases of a solution’s or application’s lifecycle in a consulting organization, with demonstrated expertise and proven abilities in risk management and mitigation, and business value or strategy consulting.

  • The PM helps customer account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing accounts. To accomplish this, PM’s must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. PM’s help translate business requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOW). In some cases PM’s will also assist in contract negotiations and engagement management.

  • PM’s play a key role in employing and developing partners as part of the overall EnLabel Global services delivery model. PM’s maintain product group relationships and may act as subject matter experts assisting service line management in definition and development of service and/or solution offerings. They drive technical readiness around project management, particular products, solutions delivery and design best practices and go-to-markets offerings. They are also expected to participate in the mentoring of consultants and partner staff. PM’s are able to deliver articulate and effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience delivering, managing and completing large complex operational and systems strategy /integration /implementation projects. The PM role will have multiple responsibilities, including directing multiple projects, defining the delivery approach for engagements, business development, understanding client needs and managing client relationships.

Extensive consulting experience managing large complex operational and systems strategy / conversion / integration / implementation projects for large enterprise clients. It is expected that the individual will interact with client staff ranging from the CEO down to Vice Presidents and project managers.

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 8 years relevant working experience including a minimum of 8 years in technology and 4 years managing projects. Qualifications include hands-on experience in several of the following technologies: project management tools (ideally MS Project), application development, and infrastructure deployment. Regional travel (up to 30%) is an integral part of this job, as are high levels of recognition and visibility. Preferred certifications will include PMI’s PMP, MCSx, ITIL, CISSP, CCIE and/or ISSEP.
