Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist will provide overall support for a wide variety of human resources activities including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, and performance management.
This position is available on a part-time schedule working on-site in enLabel's Boston office.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- Process new hire and termination paperwork
- Conduct orientations (new employee/benefits)
- Maintain employee files
- Resolve employee inquires, issues or complaints
- Provide advice and counsel to leadership on employee issues and the separation process
- Coordinate employee benefits
- Maintain compliance with our human resources procedures and policies
- Manage 401 (k) plan administration
- Execute and enhance our HR work systems to include tracking the recruitment process activity, working with management and outside resources.
- Track compensation changes and manage the performance review process.
- Collaborate with our finance and management teams
Payroll processing
- Maintain payroll database
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Maintain (run, balance, process, etc) various payroll related reports (benefit deductions, 401(k), garnishments, child support, etc) – includes reconciliation and processing payments
- Produce management reports (hours, payroll, wage/salary info, deductions, etc.)
- Prepare payroll and unemployment tax data for reporting purposes
- Maintain employee time off database (vacation, holiday, benefit days, etc) database
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with specialization in Human Resources or Business
- GPHR/SPHR/or PHR preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, including administration of policies to meet business objectives.
- Previous experience as an HR Generalist with specific HR functional knowledge.
- Experience working in a professional services organization is helpful.
